The Children of Bangladesh and Their Adopted Dogs

When Sydney-based photographer Sam Edmonds was in Bangladesh, he captured some aww-inspiring pictures of children and their adopted dogs. And that’s “aww” not awe.

The dogs and the boys share more similarities than you think. The boys, separated from their parents, have sought refuge in Robindra Shorbod, a small park where kids gather to sell plastic containers for food.

The dogs were previously taken care of by Obhoyaronno, a non-governmental organization dedicated to saving street dogs. The dogs, now with their new masters, have been sterilized and vaccinated for safety.

The pictures show the dog in their natural embrace with the child, allowing the tenderness and emotion to speak through the photograph.
