John Legend feat. the Roots - “I can’t Write Left Handed”

With President Obama calling all combat troops back to the U.S., this song and video seems fitting. Yet I don’t understand when any country goes to war with another there somehow is a victory. War to me, does not result in victory, no one wins-not when hundreds of thousands of people on both sides die. Here’s John Legend and the Roots “I can’t Write Left Handed” off their upcoming album Wake Up!

The Roots - How I Got Over Artwork

When I saw this cover it immediately reminded me of their Things Fall Apart cover, however these individuals are shadows. Either way, the album drops June 22nd. Wasn’t crazy about the single but I’m sure the album in it’s entirety won’t disappoint. Link

The Roots - Dilla Jawns (Mixtape)

The Roots - Dilla Jawns (Mixtape)

If you recall a while ago, I posted some J Dilla joints the Roots covered which Questlove dropped via his Twitter page. Well here’s the project (Dilla Jawns), and man these joints, jawns excuse me, sound beautiful, especially “Make Em NV”, “Eve”, and of course my favorite “Stereolab”. Hope everyone had a nice Easter, at least those that celebrate it. Partake. Link / Source
