Tasty Visuals by Neal Coghian

Tasty Visuals from Neal Coghlan on Vimeo.

Neal Coghian – “These visuals all started out from a single illustration. Whilst creating the illustration I thought about how each bit might animate and so set about turning it into a short ident type visual. It was soon after that I learnt about the Resolume competiton for Kraak & Smaak a Dutch trio of musicians who create some quality funk/breakbeat/electro tunes. As Kraak & Smaak translates to Crunchy & Tasty I thought it’d be too good an opportunity to miss to get a set of food-themed illustrations turned into VJ loops.”

Loving Nixon’s New S/S Lineup

I’ve always, personally been a fan of Nixon… back when the Rotolog was making a splash. The Art of Being

You can’t become something unless you begin something. And you’ll never be good at something unless you do it over and over and over again… even if it means constant failure.

We all have aspirations, hopes, dreams–whatever you want to call them. It could be starting a clothing line or writing a book… it could be anything. But we’re too often held back by the fear of rejection, the fear of creating something of inconsequence or producing something that’s just flat out shitty. This fear prevents us from even trying. Illustrations by Quentin Vijoux

I’ve definitely been taken by the work of Quentin Vijoux. He’s the kind of dude that makes his craft look easy. Such is the case with most super talented people but I guess what I like about his work is that it’s not overly complicated. There’s just enough details for you to enjoy and I appreciate that ability to be reserved.
