Kanye West - “Devil in New Dress” (prod. by Bink!)

Devil in a New Dress

Classic Kanye West with production from Bink!, Mr. West is staying on his Friday G.O.O.D. music drops. I hope this is the direction of his new album, I understand growth and these musicians are human, but sometimes you just want the ham sandwich with cheese without all the extra condiments. Link

Today’s Yesterday

Today's Yesterday

Things seemed calm at the beginning of the week, but they sure did end hectically in Toronto. With the G20 Summit going on, it seemed like the city stopped for a short weekend, but as always, we here at Inquiringmind kept things rolling. Let’s get back to happier times by revisting Taz Arnold, our featured profile artist for this month. Be sure during your break to check out the sixth curated issue with The Behance Network, and jump into Mel D. Cole’s musical inspiration in our In Rotation segment. On the other end of the spectrum of shocking G20 photographs comes a breathtaking collection from Alexi Luborski, and a calming influence from a Peace Bridge. We’re trying to keep things civil here people…

Cults 7″: Go Outside

Cults 7": Go Outside

Besides the name which is kind of creepy, the record “Go Outside” from the tandem who call themselves the Cult 7″ is pretty dope. There’s not a lot of info out on these two, I’m not saying they’re a cult but they act very cult”ish”. Partake. Link

Today’s Yesterday

THOROCRAFT 2010

Good old Monday.  Olympics are over, Canada defeated the US in hockey (sorry folks!) and once again the weekend is over…already.  In case you missed out what had happened from our neck of the woods well, do catch up….

1. Inquiringmind Music Profile:  88-Keys

We spoke with the emcee/producer/Polo dipped artist known as 88-Keys.  The talented  individual from Bronx, New York speaks on his production process, his first break into the industry and hooking up with ‘Ye West.  Link

2. From the Archives: Inqmnd Photostream

We take it back to 2006 when we spoke with Cool Calm Pete, emcee and illustrator whom has designed for the likes of Supreme and runs his own visual studio, SupervillainsLink

3. Thorocraft 2010

The luxury footwear brand (at the non-luxury price) recently unveiled their 2010 line to the public.  We had to show love from Inqmnd to Alex James’ Thorocraft brand, after taking a peak, we think you might too.  Link

4. Morning Benders (Video)

Something different, but the sound is nice.  This record feels like it doesn’t belong in our current era of music but it’s always good to hear and see that there still are some students in this medium.  Link

5. Ishi

Hailing from Toronto, Ishi’s work is not only executed with great quality, but his photographs are well known for their intense movement that he bring out in the models he shoots with.  Link

Great Promo Item?

Great Promo Item?

Have you seen the movie Watchmen? Do you understand the reference behind the blue condom? or is the Dr.Manhattan reference way over your head? Well when I saw this promo item I thought to some extent that it was genius and that the slogan (Where society only protection) was very fitting (in more then one way.. pause). What are your thoughts?

We Were Once A Fairy Tale

A short film directed by Spike Jones. To me, this short film was a creative expression on the emotions and thoughts that possibly many celebrities, or just people in general, go through in life cutting off and overcoming the demons inside. What are your thoughts on this? Source / Link.
